Kansas City Royal Giants
The Royal Giants played three seasons in Kansas City at a recorded 10-13. That figure is almost the whole of what the archive holds about them, and it covers a small fraction of the games they played: this was independent Black baseball, arranged game by game, and the results reached print only when a paper chose to carry them.
No Hall of Famer is recorded on the rosters and no manager is named in the archive. The club predates the Kansas City Monarchs by eight years and is not connected to them; the Monarchs were founded in 1920 as a charter member of the Negro National League and are held separately here.
The page exists because the club existed and played in a major Black baseball city in the years before the leagues. What survives is thin, and saying so is more useful than presenting the fragment as a record.
