Drake Baldwin Marquee

Drake Baldwin arrived in Atlanta out of spring training in 2025, was handed a share of the catching job when Sean Murphy was hurt, and hit .274 with 19 home runs and 80 runs batted in on the way to National League Rookie of the Year.

The Braves had taken him in the third round out of Missouri State in 2022, and he moved through the system quickly for a catcher, a position where clubs are usually patient by necessity.

Born in Madison, Wisconsin in 2001, Baldwin bats left-handed and throws right, and has spent his career so far with Atlanta. He caught 124 games in his first season and drew 38 walks, sharing the position rather than holding it outright.
